About Me

Phil Braun has been studying & using Body Mind & Spirit practices for many years.

He was called to the path of exploring Spirit when he first left home to attend college. It wasn't academics that caught his interest but rather the study of Yoga & Zen as a first exposure of something greater than simply what we call our 'physical' world. Very much a scientist, his explorations always relied on direct experience to verify or give credibility to what was learned or perceived.

Because of this the Body became the most tangible form of what could be studied. This led to deep interest in martial arts & health sciences always from a holistic point of view.

He began martial arts training in Tae Kwon & Japanese Seido karate, obtaining black belts in both systems. To complement those 'external' arts, his next study became the art of Aikido, which emphasizes the use of internal energy, also called Ki, & is also referred to as the Art of Peace.

Finally, the deep connection to Qigong grew through what are referred to as the Chinese Internal martial arts, where he trained in Bagua Zhang / Li family arts with Dr. John Painter & most recently I Liq Chuan with GM Sam Chin.

Along with these studies, he received training in Inquiry practice as applied to personal development & various systems of meditation. He hopes to be able to share what he has learned & studied with anyone who is interested.
